Tribute to FC AFC Brophy's Red October - "Clancy"

Field Champion, Amateur Field Champion, Brophy's Red October - "Clancy"

FC/AFC Brophy's Red October - "Clancy" - was put to rest July 31, 2006 . Clancy was out of Hazelwood's Speedy Gonzales (Robin Baker and Marion Pahy, owners) and Brophy's Red Storm Rising("Boomer" - Bob and Amy Geddeis, owners). She was born on September 11, 1992 in Texas. She was our first field trial dog and our ticket into this great and adventurous sport. She was a finished AKC Field and Amateur Field Champion. She was runner-up in the 1994 Irish Setter Club of America Futurity and placed second once and fourth twice in the ISCA National Field Championships at Booneville, Arkansas . She was ISCA Field Dog of the Year and Amateur Field Dog of the Year in 1997 with most dogs defeated. Clancy was bred three times and delivered 21 Irish Setter bird dogs into this world. We were very proud of her.

More importantly, she was Susan, Brooke and Stephanie's first dog, Stan's faithful hunting and field trial dog, our companion, Dolly, Gracie, and Itty's mom, and undisputed queen of the household. She never let any of us forget it, either. She was a special gift. We thank the breeders along with my brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Linda Ruff, for the opportunity to have Clancy spend her life with us.

It is with great sadness, but deep and everlasting memories, that we share this news. God rest her soul, and may the shamrocks fall softly.

We miss you, Mama Dog.
